OK, Badasses, today I come to you asking for one thing: I need your vote.
I have put myself out there, at the urging of Earth Fare Tallahassee's awesome community relations guru, and entered a fitness contest that gets the winner featured in Women's Health magazine.
To be perfectly honest: Just filling out the "about me" section and choosing a picture brought up all sorts of internal fears and insecurities. Yes, even the Badass CEO has them, and plenty of them. But I think we grow by taking risks and confronting our insecurities.
Moreover, I know that I want to make fitness - be it fitness writing, fitness modeling, fitness teaching - a full-time career some day not too far off. So this contest is part of me getting closer to that goal. See, Women's Health is the real deal. To be featured in even the smallest way in that magazine would be, for me, a big personal "win."
Each of you makes my day every day by reading this blog and sharing your fitness journeys with me - and with your fellow Badass soldiers. The support for this blog means more than I can express.
